Choosing the right size bin liner depends on your trash can's capacity and shape. Here's how you can decide:

• Check your bin's gallon size—most liners are labeled by gallons, like 4, 6, 13, or 30 gallons.
• Measure your bin's height and width to ensure the liner will fit without slipping or tearing.
• Consider the type of waste—kitchen bins may need larger, stronger liners, while bathroom or office bins can use smaller ones.

Matching the liner size to your bin helps prevent leaks and makes taking out the trash easier.

Scented bin liners are designed to help mask odors with fragrances like lavender or fresh scents, making them a popular choice for kitchens or bathrooms. Unscented liners don’t have added fragrances, which is great if you’re sensitive to smells or prefer a neutral option. Both types work the same for holding trash, so it really comes down to your personal preference and sensitivity to scents.

Yes, you can use kitchen bin liners in the bathroom, but keep in mind that kitchen liners are usually larger and may not fit smaller bathroom bins snugly.

• If the liner is too big, it might bunch up or slip inside the bin.
• For a better fit, look for liners labeled for small or bathroom bins, which are typically 2 to 4 gallons.

To help prevent bin liners from slipping, try these tips:

• Choose liners with drawstrings or flap ties—they grip the rim better.
• Make sure the liner size matches your bin; too large or too small can cause slipping.
• Some people tuck a bit of the liner under the bin or use a rubber band around the rim for extra hold.

These simple tricks can help keep your liner in place, making trash removal less messy.

Heavy duty bin liners are designed to handle heavier or sharper waste without tearing. They can be especially helpful if you’re disposing of things like food scraps, packaging, or small broken items. For everyday light trash, standard liners usually work fine, but if you find your bags often rip or leak, upgrading to heavy duty liners can add peace of mind and reduce messes.
