Choosing the right battery size depends on your vehicle or device's requirements. Start by checking your owner's manual or the label on your current battery for details like voltage, capacity (Ah), and group size. If you're upgrading or replacing, consider your power needs—higher capacity batteries can support more accessories or longer run times.

• Match the group size to your vehicle's battery tray.
• Look for the correct voltage (usually 12V for cars, 6V for some equipment).
• Consider cold cranking amps (CCA) for reliable starts in cold weather.

If you're unsure, you can ask a Walmart associate for help or use online tools to guide your selection.

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) and lithium batteries serve similar purposes but have key differences.

• AGM batteries are sealed lead-acid types, known for durability and maintenance-free operation. They're great for starting engines and powering accessories.
• Lithium batteries (like LiFePO4) are lighter, offer more usable energy, and can handle deeper discharges. They're ideal for RVs, marine use, and off-grid setups.

Lithium batteries often last longer and charge faster, but AGM batteries are typically more affordable and widely compatible. Always check your device or vehicle's compatibility before switching types.

Using a larger battery can sometimes provide more power or longer run times, but it's important to make sure it fits your vehicle or device.

• Check the physical size—your battery tray must accommodate the new battery.
• Verify voltage and terminal type match your system.
• Higher capacity (Ah) is usually fine, but excessive size or weight may cause issues.

If you're unsure, consult your owner's manual or ask a Walmart associate for guidance. Installing a battery that's too large or incompatible can lead to performance or safety concerns.

For cold weather, look for batteries with higher Cold Cranking Amps (CCA). CCA measures how well a battery can start an engine in low temperatures.

• Check the battery label for CCA ratings—higher numbers mean better cold performance.
• AGM batteries often perform well in cold climates.
• Make sure the battery is properly charged and maintained for best results.

If you live in a colder area, choosing a battery with a strong CCA rating can help ensure reliable starts during winter months.

After replacing your battery, it's important to dispose of the old one safely.

• Bring your used battery to a Walmart store or an authorized recycling center.
• Never throw batteries in the trash—they contain materials that need special handling.
• Many stores offer recycling programs and may provide a credit for your old battery.

Proper disposal helps protect the environment and keeps hazardous materials out of landfills. If you have questions, ask a Walmart associate about battery recycling options.
