The number of play balls you’ll need depends on the size of your ball pit and how full you’d like it. As a general guide:

• Small ball pits (like play tents) usually need around 100–200 balls for a light layer.
• Medium ball pits may require 300–500 balls for more coverage.
• Large ball pits or playpens can use 1,000 or more for a deeper, immersive experience.

Consider the age of the children using the pit and always supervise play for safety. You can start with a smaller quantity and add more as needed.

Most play balls sold at Walmart are designed with safety in mind, especially for young children. Look for features like:

• BPA and phthalate-free materials to reduce exposure to certain chemicals.
• Crush-proof construction to prevent breakage and sharp edges.
• Large enough size (typically over 2 inches in diameter) to help minimize choking risks.

Always check the product description and age recommendations. Adult supervision is recommended during play to ensure a safe environment.

Cleaning play balls is simple and helps keep playtime hygienic. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Fill a tub or large container with warm, soapy water.
2. Place the balls in the water and gently agitate them.
3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
4. Let the balls air dry completely before storing.

Many sets come with a reusable storage bag, making it easy to keep balls organized and dust-free. Store in a dry, cool place to maintain their quality.

Many play balls are versatile and can be used for both children and pets, as well as indoor and outdoor activities. However, it’s important to:

• Check the product description for any specific usage recommendations.
• Supervise pets to prevent chewing or swallowing the balls.
• Bring balls indoors after outdoor play to prevent fading or damage from weather.

Using play balls in different settings can add variety to playtime, but always prioritize safety and proper care.

Hacky sacks and ball pit balls serve different purposes:

• Hacky sacks are small, soft, and often crocheted balls filled with sand or beads, designed for foot juggling and coordination games.
• Ball pit balls are lightweight, hollow plastic balls used to fill ball pits for sensory and active play, mainly for children.

Choosing between them depends on the activity—hacky sacks are great for skill games, while ball pit balls are perfect for group play and sensory fun.
