Choosing the right size storage trunk depends on what you plan to store and where you want to place it. Here are a few tips:

• Measure your space: Check the area where you’ll put the trunk to make sure it fits comfortably.
• Consider your storage needs: For bulky items like blankets or sports gear, a larger trunk may be helpful. For smaller accessories, a compact option might work best.
• Think about mobility: If you’ll move the trunk often, a lighter or smaller model could be more convenient.

Review product dimensions on the item page to help you decide.

Back trunks are versatile and can help organize a variety of items around your home. Common uses include:

• Seasonal clothing or bedding to free up closet space
• Toys and games for easy access in living areas
• Sports equipment or outdoor gear
• Entryway essentials like shoes, umbrellas, or bags

Always check the trunk’s weight capacity and interior dimensions to ensure it suits your needs.

Many storage trunks are designed for simple assembly, but the process can vary by product. Most come with clear instructions and all necessary hardware. Some trunks require just a few steps, like attaching hinges or handles, while others may arrive fully assembled. If you’re unsure, check the product details or customer reviews for assembly tips. Having a basic screwdriver on hand can be helpful for most models.

Keeping your storage trunk clean helps it last longer and look great. Here’s how you can care for different materials:

• Wicker or seagrass: Dust regularly with a soft cloth and spot clean with a damp cloth if needed. Avoid soaking the material.
• Wood: Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Use gentle cleaners made for wood if necessary.
• Plastic: Clean with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly.

Always follow any care instructions provided with your trunk.

Some storage trunks are sturdy enough to double as entryway benches, especially those with reinforced lids or higher weight capacities. Before using a trunk for seating, check the product description for weight limits and safety features like locking hinges. Placing a cushion on top can add comfort and style. Always make sure the trunk is stable and on a flat surface for safe use.
