It's possible to lay landscaping bricks directly on dirt, but for a sturdier and longer-lasting result, it's best to prepare the ground first. Here's what you can do:

• Remove grass and weeds from the area.
• Level the soil and compact it to reduce shifting.
• Consider adding a layer of sand or gravel for extra stability.

These steps can help your bricks stay in place and look great over time. If you're building a walkway or patio, prepping the base can make a big difference in durability.

Landscaping bricks come in several styles, each suited for different projects. Common options include:

• Stepping stones for walkways and garden paths.
• Retaining wall blocks for creating raised beds or walls.
• Brickface pavers for patios and decorative areas.

When choosing, think about the look you want, the size of your project, and how much weight the bricks need to support. Durable materials like concrete and weatherproof plastic are popular for outdoor use.

Landscaping bricks are often referred to as pavers, stepping stones, or retaining wall blocks. Each term describes a specific use:

• Pavers: Used for patios, walkways, and driveways.
• Stepping stones: Ideal for garden paths.
• Retaining wall blocks: Designed for building walls and borders.

You'll find these names when shopping for outdoor materials, making it easier to pick the right product for your project.

Walmart offers a variety of retaining wall blocks in different sizes and materials, so you can find options that fit your budget. To find affordable choices:

Shopping at Walmart gives you access to a wide range of products, making it easier to start your landscaping project without overspending.

Installing stepping stones is a straightforward DIY project. Here's a basic guide:

1. Plan your path and mark where each stone will go.
2. Dig a shallow hole for each stone, about the same depth as the stone's thickness.
3. Place the stone and check that it's level.
4. Fill in around the edges with soil or sand to secure it.

Taking time to space and level your stones can help create a safe and attractive walkway. Always follow product instructions for best results.
