The Remote Alert System is intended to send text or call to the pre-assigned numbers that you set-up and is not intended to replace a home alarm security system. It is not equipped with a siren. The device will not send alerts to any emergency services and cannot not be programmed to dial 911. Before using the device, please check area for wireless coverage and test the device before installing. Also, please regularly check your service end date as the device will not function without active service. The device has a backup battery for short power outage, but the battery should not be relied upon to power the system during power outages.

Features:
  • SMS / Call Alerts if the Motion Sensor is triggered
  • Notify up to 8 friends and neighbors via call or SMS when motion is detected to increase chances of a close-by responder.
  • You can program up to 3 SMS numbers and 5 call numbers.

    Product Specifications:
  • Basic package will come with 1 Controller unit + 1 Motion Sensor. These two items will ship pre-paired.
  • Customers will need to go through the pairing process for any additional accessories purchased outside of the initial kit.
  • It is possible to pair up to 64 sensors/accessories.
  • Up to 16 sensors per zone allowed.
  • In order to pair a unit you must always be in programming mode 1st.
  • You may pair more than one device in the same zone
  • Pairing takes about 1 minute per component

    Emergency Backup Battery
  • An AC adaptor with a 9V backup battery provides continued functionality in the event of a power outage.

Works well

The unit can get confused if you send arm, silence and disarm signals before the system has a chance to change modes. Just take your time and allow the system to process each command prior to sending a new command. Loaded the iOS smart iPhone app and works really well. Siren is high pitch and loud enough so an intruder will know an alarm has been triggered. My plan would be to call neighbor to look at doors and windows. If anything looks ajar I'll call the police to check it out. Motion sensors are picking up movement within 30 ft and through open interior doorways. Inexpensive system and after a few days it works really well. 2 motion detectors, one on each level. For me the door and window sensors would be a waste of money. Should have bought directly from Straight Talk. Would have saved $7 to $8. I've had get luck with Straight Talk BYOP in St Louis region and also traveling between St Louis and Corpus Christi TX.

inexpensive and easy to use

bought the system and 2 door sensors on the straight talk site great deal.....simple to install just had a hard time after I downloaded the app for phone called straight talk 3 times and finally got somebody who was very helpful and walked me thru step by step......when you get a text saying a zone has been triggered and you want to shut off alarm you need to text Disarm Alarm to that text number same when you want to alarm system text Arm Alarm to that number....this is very helpful especially if you are using this on a summer home when your not there all the time.....
