Someone finally got it right!
I am big, 360 pounds, and I'm tall, 6 feet 2 inches. I also am a senior citizen living on fixed income. Finding a chair that would handle my size and fit within my limited budget has been extremely difficult, but this fat old man finally got lucky. Let me tell you about it. First off, everything about this chair is heavy duty, much stronger than the so-called "big and tall" chairs I have used before. The seat cushion is a joy. It is nice and wide and plenty deep enough to keep you from feeling like you're going to slide out of the chair. I can flatten out a memory foam cushion quicker than you can spit! Not so with this chair. It is fitted with coil springs covered with a firm foam and is a very firm seat, but it is so comfortable. Because it is actually designed for big and tall people, the lumbar support fits just right and has ended years of pain that I suffered with other chairs. The armrests are comfortable and sit at the right height, and I just love the adjustable tension rocking feature on this chair. I'm fairly good at putting things together, so the assembly was really no big deal, but here are some tips. The assembly instructions are well written and pretty easy to understand, so follow them exactly and in the proper order. Do not, and let me emphasize, do not tighten the bolts down until you have attached the armrests, which is the final step of the assembly. I used a power screwdriver with a a hex bit, which made things go much faster, and used the included hex driver for the final tightening of the bolts. Although I put the chair together by myself, it would have been much easier if I had a helper. My problem was that my wife was out shopping and I was too impatient to wait for her to get home. So what we have here is a heavy duty chair designed for heavy duty people and I expect to use it for many years to come. If however, something turns up that changes my mind, I will come back and edit this review. As of right now, I am completely satisfied and would recommend this chair fully to anyone looking for a sturdy chair at a reasonable price.
