'LULLABIES' compiles the best of Weinstone's more subtle, quieter and often most poignant songs. This CD sparkles and shines, and remarkably avoids the sappy-sugary fair of more traditional children's lullabies. David Weinstone created Music for Aardvarks and Other Mammals in reaction to the dearth of cool kid's music available. He recorded ten original songs. In an exhilarating range of musical styles executed with superb musical literacy and richness of instrumentation, his songs reflected and celebrated the lives of children growing up in urban environments as well as themes universal to all children. His music immediately hit a nerve with children. And parents were thrilled to find something new that they themselves loved.
