Had it for 3 weeks now, and so far so good! pretty easy to assemble. Seems very sturdy. we thought we might need a box spring, or wood as a platform over the bars, but no. My 10 year old loves it! She doesn't feel the bars and it's comfortable for her. So if you dont have a box spring, you don't necessarily need one. Definitely recommend. I'll update my review if anything changes.

I'm not the average buyer of this bed- I'm a law student. My budget is very tight and the room I rent is very small- hence the "Junior" size bed. I need the storage underneath and the ceilings are low, so I couldn't get a full loft bed. It took about 2 hours to assemble (by myself), and so far has been great. I wouldn't recommend putting another person in it- but it holds me just fine (I'm about 130 lbs).
