This item came ahead of delivery date. The instructions were easy to follow and I had the bed set up with in the hour. The metal is strong and the base connectors were very tight to snap on. My 8yr old twins and 4yr old tested it out right away. They were using the loft like a park gym swinging across the bars. The construction was excellent. My son loves this loft bed. I was able to fit a double wide chest and his student desk and chair under. And still have room to move and play under there. I would recommend this.
