Better with time

Patience is key. I left this batch in the fermenter for the full 14 days before I bottled it. I also waited 14 days before putting a bottle in the fridge and waited another 2 days before I did the taste test. It was ok but not great. However as time went by, it became better and better. The last half of the batch was really good thus the 5 star review. I think Mr Beer really has the process down pat. I started with Mr Beer product at least 13 years ago. The fermenter back then was 2 pieces that had a silicon gasket that required the gasket to be placed on perfectly or it would leak. It was a real pain to clean it and install the gasket properly. The beer was carbonated using a small CO 2 cartridge that was installed on the fermenter. The current process is much much better so kudos to Mr Beer.
