Not waterproof

I spent a lot of time and money on fabric and foam to make outdoor seat cushions. I specifically chose this fabric because it said it was UV resistant and waterproof. Well, within a relatively short amount of time, the cushions were sopping wet and fading. It is very frustrating. I put so much time into making these and they're ruined. Now they are faded, mildewed, and a reminder of what a waste of money this fabric was.
