Avia Women's Comfort Performance Sneakers, Wide Width Available

These shoes are crazy! 4 years ago Walmart came out with a pair of Walking Shoes that my Orthopedic Sureon and my Podiatrist approved of. My knees were badly damaged in a car accident. My left knee was the worst all ligaments we torn I need to have rod installed in the bones of the left knee to hold the Artifical knee in place. the first time I had my left knee replaced the Orthopedic Dr who did the surgery agreed with the workmen compenstation doctors that I did not need rods in my need 10 weeks after surgery the left knee completely collapse I was going down three steps when the knee gave out. Not only was the left knee needed to be replaced and rods need to be installed I cracked the left ankle a tore some of the ligaments in the ankle. First thing that had to be done my new orthopedic dr sent me to a podiatrisr of a complete exam of mu foot and ankle before reconstructive surgery on the knee is done. First thing my Podiatrist notices was the shoes I had on Sketchers leather walking shoes this was before slip in shoes. he saw me walking in my shoes he said my foot was actual rotating in the shoe causing further damage to my injured ankle. He said tose the shoes in the trash. I spent $75.00 on the shoes and I already broke all the cushioning down. He recommended shoe he sold that were $175.00. A month later I came back in wearing a pair of Avia light weight Walking shoes. My doctor was blown away loved Everything about the shoe I bought one pair, then another then a third pair. I made a big stink about not getting my third pair a yearl. A year ago I actual got my 3rd pair. When I wear my first pair women have come up and asked where didi I get my Hoka shoes I they loved the color. I said they are not Hoka. The shoes are Avia only available on Walmart website but they are sold out and Walmart has not brought back anything close. The Avia 5000 are close but the padding is a little different Avia 5000 is tends to be a little stiff compare to these shoe I would not try and run in the Avia 5000. Now Walmart has done the impossible brought back a Womens shoe that is so close to Hoka again. I can't tell the difference between the two shoes. Walmarts First Generation Hoka imitation had so much padding that I did something crazy I ran. When I received the new imitations Hoka I did the craziest I went to a Sporting Goods store and tried $175.00 of Hoka on the first thing I noticed Hoka and Walmart shoes Hoka shoe my heels slip out and I had a thick pair of socks on. I have never had a problem with any pair of Avia with my heel slipping out of the shoes. I have what my Podiatrist calls a Duck foot. Extremely wide width and extremely tiny heal causing shoes not to fit properly. With having a Duck foot and Artifical knees I must have a shoe that fits and stays on my feet. The biggest difference between the first generation Avia walking shoe like Hoka better insole. If these shoes had the same insole I would try running again.
