We liked the uniqueness of this vehicle, so we purchased it for our 3 yr old grandson as a Christmas present. It took about 3.5 hours to assemble with 2 people. You are going to need a phillips screwdriver %26 a power drill. Using the drill helped with the assembly %26 that way the screws, which are small, won't become stripped, which makes them unuseable. We are pleased with our purchase.

Follow the directions, it's just that easy

Initially the box and all the unlabeled pieces seemed intimidating. I was concerned it was going to be hard to put together. My sister and I were also concerned because a previous review said we needed a drill and it took that reviewer 3.5 hours with two people. This was my first time putting together something like this. We were tired because we had just come from late Mass at church and I had to wait for my daughter to go to sleep. The best advice I can give you is to have a Phillips head screwdriver and follow the directions step by step. There is no need to use a drill. Having a second person is helpful. It also comes with a plastic tool to help with the big bolts. I am impressed with the quality and the directions made it so easy to put it together. We didn't time ourselves but it did take longer than an hour, maybe two hours and we were extremely tired. It also can be put together without the over-the-head part if you have a taller child. The battery is not huge, nor does it come out. It's just two orange clips that snap together. The connection is directly behind the leg. The power button is on the right side of the steering wheel on the panel and it has a flap over it. You will need 2 AA and 2 AAA batteries. One set for the horn that is located in the steering wheel and the other set for the external remote. I promise, if you read and follow the directions without skipping or assuming you know what you're doing, you will do just fine. Forgive the Christmas spillage in the photos.

This excavator River has put many man hours into , digging trenches for the town folk. It has paid for its self many times over. From digging small trenches to rock hauling river has done it all. River doesnt like anyone else running this badboy . Its a one man operation and he will throw other kids out of it before he counts to five.
