Seems okay, but haven't needed to test it.

Haven't needed to inflate this life preserver, thank goodness. Hopefully won't ever need to do that. So I can't comment about how effective it helps a person float in choppy water. But it appears to be of adequate quality and function. It also comes with a handy protective bag for tangle-free stowage.
