Thinner and not constructed up to Hanes standards

I purchased these Hanes undershirts for my husband. They are significantly thinner than his last set of Hanes T-shirts. Their construction has also been below what I've seen for Hanes. I had to clip threads not only from arm seams but from the neck seams. Due to the serged seams, I'm concerned about the seams now unraveling.
