ASUS ProArt X570-CREATOR WIFI Desktop Motherboard - AMD Chipset - Socket AM4 - ATX

This is a first class motherboard. There is only one problem with it. There is a plastic sheet on top of the chipset heatsink. This reduces the ability of the motherboard since the chipset runs hot. If the plastic was not on the heatsink, the chipset would be cooled much better. It does not appear to be safe to remove the plastic since the 4 bolts that hold it on also hold the heat sink in place. That being said, the motherboard works very well. All the functions that I have used so far work as indicated in the advertising. I have not had any problems.

This is an early review. I really do like the motherboard. The EFI is very nice but needs better explanation. Recommendations should be noted. This is also the first motherboard in many years that I needed to install an Intel NIC to get going. Keep that in mind. All the after Windows installation cannot proceed unless you make sure you have Networking or a flash drive filled with all the appropriate software. The Thunderbolt 4 connections seem to be right on spec. This is rare for AMD motherboards running Windows. It works almost as well as Mac O.S. The whole motherboard is well though out. I have on gripe. The connector for your case USB 3.x ports is flimsy and is easily damaged. So in summary, great motherboard so far. The after hardware installation, EFI setting and EFI tweaking needs a good manual. Some of the basic drivers to get connected will eventually get added to the Windows install by default. You can then easily install all the ASUS drivers, software, and run all the Windows updates more easily.
