It's the first time I've installed this style with a closed foam sealed base plate, I've always used plumbers' putty under the faucet base plates, not this time. Also, there is a small white plastic part on the black sprayer hose that needs to be placed or moved up into the big black turn nut after install is complete. Simply push it up into the nut when arraigning the hoses. This piece keeps the supply hoses from dragging on the sprayer hose, you want the sprayer hose to move freely. I wish i had installed this a long time ago. It makes things much easier to do in the sink the faucet is up out of the way and if needed you just pull down the sprayer
