Great Value Brussel Sprouts

Growing up we had a garden and grew most of our food. Brussel sprouts was one of my favorite foods among others that came out of that garden. They take so long to mature, but once they are ready; man these bad boys are great. I buy these now, no more days in the garden. These cook up so nice and taste great. Add a little butter to them while cooking, remove and add a small amount of salt to them it really makes them pop. Want a crispy crunch, cook less than required, longer cooks can make them be really soft. Great price for a small added dish to suppertime. I keep three to four bags frozen because I think they go great with almost any meal. Small cabbages I called them when I was younger, loved them then and still do.

Fabulous for roasting

I guess it is always best to purchase fresh. Unfortunately, where I live, the options a grossly limited. Frozen is the next best thing. I line a small baking dish with parchment, coat the sprouts with olive oil or coconut. Then sprinkle with herbs and into the oven. They are consistently great and available

I never liked brussels sprouts. But if you put a bag in the microwave for three minutes and then fry up some bacon and then put it in brussels sprouts and fry them up in the bacon fat and add maple syrup to them. It’s really good.
