The hat is exceptionally well made. There is a lining inside toward the front to help it hold its shape. The brim shape is perfect, and it also holds it shape. This is my go-to hat for dressy occasions, and the hat and my hand tied bow ties always get rave reviews.

My motivation for buying one was to keep the sun off my ears. I had a small non-serious cancer removed from one ear. I ended up buying two, one for home and one for the lake house. The variable sizing makes them fit well when boating or in moderate wind. They always look well.
