Georgia Boot Comfort Core Waterproof Low Heel Logger Work Boot, Crazy Horse, Size 10(W)

This boot was on sale and I was at first a bit skeptical about the quality of the boot since it was at such a great price. I was getting ready for a trip out west and for some rough hiking, and I couldn't resist the price. I would use something a little bit more durable for the trail even though they were going to be a bit heavier. I knew I wasn't going to be going in a very fast pace, but knew that this particular trail could be rocky. I didn't want to bring the typical hiking boot and wanted something a bit higher for snakes and scorpions. have to tell you that the combination of weight and instant comfort and instant break-in. Was a very pleasant surprise, given some of the reviews. I wear orthotics, but did not have to use them for these boots because they are so stable and so cushioning. They have a great rugged look and the low heel definitely makes for better walking. I can turn around and comfortably do yard work as well. Looking forward to more miles on these boots!

I bought my current pair of loggers about 4 years ago and immediately became my favorite pair of boots. They are extremely comfortable, tough as any boot on the market, keep my feet warm in the winter and so very worth the money. As for ventilation, yes they really are not. however, I do not have a problem with that as my feet do not sweat that much. I am on my feet all day long (I average over 20,000 steps) so comfort is a Huge requirement and these boots have exceeded. I have even been able to replace the insole and completely renew the comfort. I do want to point out that once they break in, and they do quickly, they will spread out and loosen up. So be careful before you order wide. I also wish this boot came in a 6" comfort because the 8" is a heavy boot.
