Bought two for my twin daughters best purchase I've made in a long time ran through a lot of types of beds to get here. Wooden slats are fragile and “metal beds” bend and break this bed has a board that removed the need for wooden slats mattress sits flush no need for box spring the shelving system for the head board adds style my daughters used for school trophies and books for a modern chic preteen look
