Learning Resources Spike The Fine Motor Hedgehog Pink Fine Motor and Sensory Toy Montessori Ages 18 Months+

I'm not going to lie. I thought this toy looked adorable yet a little boring. But I'm not a two-year-old. My daughter, an actual two-year-old, LOVED this toy. She was excited the second I took it out of the box and immediately started to play with it with no help at her table. The quills are simple for her to grasp and insert in the hedgehog's body. The hedgehog has storage to hold the quills, but she likes to leave them inserted on the top. While the toy as is was interesting enough for her, what I loved was the booklet that is included that lists different "games" you can play using the toy. This includes color games, counting games, and number games. While my daughter is just on the cusp of learning these things, I'm excited to utilize the toy for these activities in the future. We received this toy over two weeks ago, and she has played with it for at least a few minutes each day. With an active toddler's attention span, I call that a win! My little daughter has not stopped playing with her spinpike since the first day it appeared in the mail, she is starting to learn numbers so this was a fallen gift from heaven. I never thought that something so simple would entertain her for so long, she takes care of it like a treasure. Thank you! The plastic is very resistant and very well made, you can use it to store the sticks inside, it is very practical.
