It works great and is still compact to sit on a stand or on the counter. That is if you have a lot of counter space. If you don't I'd recommend getting a shelf to sit it on. We bought a cooking shelf for our apartment because we don't have a lot of counter space. Everything does cook thoroughly and is always hot. Always remember that cooking times will vary.
