While the range of the 36V lead acid battery is limited. I can commute 5 miles daily and up a formidable hill. The larger wheels make this a butter smooth ride and the motor is whisper quiet. This is heavy with the stock batteries though. So park it outside if you have stairs to climb.

I finally was able to take it out for a test ride and it is super fast. I think it's going to take me a little bit more practice on the side walks but on the road the ride is very smooth.

Would recommend for short commutes
Just took it on a little trip to work and back. I got this for that purpose and it did just as it should with plenty of charge left. Runs quiet and pretty smooth. Bumps can be a little jarring without any suspension. Powerful for it's size. I love the larger platform which gives me more room for my big feet! There are some shallow hills on the way and it pulled me up them without getting too bogged down even though I'm a littlemore than the stated weight limit. Does what I bought it to do and I'm satisfied. Nice!
