It was not that easy to assemble. It took both my sister and myself .one to hold the part in place and one to put screws and bolts in place. They are nice large sturdy chairs. I cannot say how they will hold up on my patio. One great thing besides looking nice is my cats have no interest in scratching or using their nails on the material. They love laying on them and their fur dies not stick. I would recommend these chairs.
