i bought this for my wife for Christmas, and yes, she washed it and used it the same day. A full sized ham fit perfectly into it, and cooked it perfectly. Shipping was a little slow but it was ordered for a Christmas gift. My wife loves using cast iron to cook with, so a dutch oven was a no-brainer. Plus its a beautiful shade of blue.

this one was less money than a lot of the others. and it is big enough to make your sourdough in. cleans up beautifully and I love the color. some of those dutch ovens are upwards of a couple of hundred dollars. this one worked out great. for a lot less money

Nice dutch oven. Very heavy. Cooks evenly and holds its heat. If you are going to a pot luck - this will be your best friend. Be careful though, very hot! Put on oven mits and remove from oven. Make sure you use a trivet. Wonderful for casseroles.
