New to clams in meals. Therefore, with My Limited Experience. I can only comment, that I didn't find this to be a unpleasant one. Quite a bit in the can. ( I've had smaller cans- with less than expected). If your thinking of try CLAMS. I will say "RINSE WELL"-than rinse again. ; ) I have heard, you can, also, used the brine(? maybe though a coffee filter). Yes, I would recommend this product.(I have on on hand) ; )

Works as well as Walmarts shelled fresh oysters in oyster stew or fried but for much less money. Of course, nothing beats freshly shucked oysters for taste, but these work pretty well in cooked dishes for the price. Plus, you have the convenience of being able to keep them on the shelf without them spoiling.

Cheap and good!

These are good, and cheaper per ounce (at the time of writing this) than the smaller cans of clams. I buy them all the time to make spaghetti with clams--a good pantry meal!
