After reading the reviews I followed directions carefully about cleaning the tub and then wiping with alcohol. The strips adhered perfectly. I bought clear and they are basically invisible. I put them in my parents tub because the rubber mat would slip and I was worried they would fall or I would fall while visiting them. The strips are so much easier. So far so good. No problem so far with the strips coming off. I did buy 4 packages and used three of them to make sure the bottom of the tub was covered well. I don't mind having an extra package just in case any strips need to be replace.
