When the desk chair arrived, the mechanical part the adjusts height was stuck in the lowest position. I saw no way to easily fix it. Still does not raise to a normal sitting position.

When I received the chair the wood on the base of the chair was splitting. The chair did nor roll freely/ correctly; and the char would not adjust up and down. Received a replacement part. I could not remove the broken shaft bar so I returned the chair.
