Hot Wheels 1:64 Scale Basic Toy Car or Truck (1 Car, Styles and Colors May Vary, Item May not be Pictured)

I thought I was ordering an assortment of "Basic cars". What ARRIVED was MUPPETS non "basic" vehicles. Should have been labeled as such! Fortunately, I ordered these for my 2 yr. old grandson (no judgement, please... he doesn't put anything in his mouth - all he does is vroom, vroom with them) and NOT my 10 yr. old grandson. Reaction would have been quite different!

It was what I expected, some repeats out of 25 though if they cared I know they could've easily prevented that because I've seen how many they have and some of these are older so certainly they have way too many hotwheels. The cars were fun, but compared to the ones from when I was a kid (late 2000s-late 2010s) the cars feel worse. I was pretty rough with mine but they didn't dent except one when they crashed but on the ones with metal it feels thin and flims, which was disappointing. If you have very very rough kids I can see these becoming more damaged and maybe even cracked and broken metal could form sharp stabby bits with extra violent kids. I wonder if the downgrade is because of how they are leaning so far into the premium ones so they want these bad enough that they really feel like toys, the metal is visibly thinner but they also weigh nothing, I have my old cars and even ones that should be identical are vastly different. It is good for kids to have toys like these, but if you know your kids are super destructive think twice, I know I would've hurt myself, I actually did once on a cheap knockoff one of similar quality and thickness of these today. Also they cost way too much. They used to be made with more and better material and sold for 99 cents, they make them cheaper and yet they now cost more. They are cheaper enough that I doubt that they are losing profit to inflation....though maybe because of lowering demand since kids don't play with toys anymore.
