I think many of the bad reviews are a result of operator error and not the product. I've installed 14 of these so far to secure a trolling motor and leaning post to my boat and had no trouble whatsoever. If you're unsure how to use the product, get on youtube and watch a couple of videos.

Great idea but expensive
Was perfect for repairing a seat on my boat because it is stainless steel. I couldn't reach the backside of the fiberglass so I needed a way to hold the bolt in place. Was able to insert the toggle through the hole in the fiberglass and lock it into place. Worked like a charm. Only con is the price. Glad I only needed one.

Not the size advertised.
These are advertised as 1/4-20 bolt anchors and they are definitely not. However I did not notice until after I installed them and realized that 1/4-20 bolts did not fit the threads. They are actually M6 toggler bolts. This sucked because I then had to just push them through the hull of my boat and they get to bounce around in there now. Pretty mad to say the least. I am going to try to get my money back tomorrow but I doubt that will happen since I just have pieces left now.
