well I have been using pancake pan's for years now the only draw back is the pan has weak hinges that make it open and close...the hardware is made of a material that after using it for a while will break...the one I'm using now in fact has one of the hinges broken but even though one side is broke I can still use it because it still opens and closes ,you just have to be careful with it...the disappointing thing about this... I just bought this new pan and it looked like it had another part linking the two hinges together {check out the picture of the pan] but when it came it didn't have the extra brace...it was just the same as the others I have bought...is it a great pancake pan !? yes for me... but if you buy it be careful how you handle the pan and those hinges
