I really love the way a person can stack these feeders. Looks very pretty. I do eclectic the color to wash off but that's ok. I have used these kind in the past and I use a bit of bleach to kill bacteria and I use vinegar. I first rinse and soak them in a large bowl of soapy water. I only use the bowls for my bird feeders. I then usually make 9 parts water to 1 part of bleach and soak them for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. After rinsing then I do 6 parts water to 1 part vinegar. Soak for an hour or few. Thoroughly rinse and let them dry completely before I use them again. The reason that I use bleach is it kills most bacteria that spread diseases among birds. The vinegar kills some that the bleach doesn't kill. NEVER ever mix bleach and vinegar together! Surprisingly, even my Robin birds come to eat out of these feeders. I get small birds and cardinals and so on. I do recommend these! They look attractive and and work well.
