The Airhead Tropic Child Personal Floatation Device (PFD) is a durable closed side polyester life vest designed for small children. The closed side design offers a more secure fit to keep your life jacket in place. The vests straps are equipped with squeeze-style side-release buckles that provide quick, easy adjustments and make donning/doffing quick and efficient. The child version comes equipped with a leg (crotch) strap for added security. These PFD's are a level 70 design and meet US Coast Guard (USCG) and Transport Canada approvals. They are designed with less bulk for quick rescue and they offer a large range of motion.

The Airhead Tropic PFD child vest fts children weighing 30 lbs. to 50 lbs. (13.6 kg to 22.7 kg) with chest sizes from 22" to 25" (55.9cm to 63.5cm).

High quality life jacket with cute pattern

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Influenster to test. The description said child-adult, which I was curious about. As it turns out, this is just for children, which is perfect for what I needed. I've been shopping around for life jackets and other swimming gear for my 18 month old and I've purchased several to try. None of them were suitable and I ended up returning them for one reason or another- mostly due to quality or not being buoyant enough. This Tropic Life Vest is awesome though. The quality is much better than others I recently tried. It's well made, with durable straps and fabric. It is much more bouyant as well. It's for children 33 to 55 pounds, but my 18 month old fits it well even though she's only about 25 pounds. From reading the tag, I learned that there are different ratings for life vests, with lower numbers being more comfortable and higher numbers being less comfortable but better suited for emergency situations in rough waters. This vest seems to be in the middle, which again is perfect for what I needed. This is a great product!

Perfect for a 3 yr old

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My two year old son is just a little too small for this vest but will fit perfectly next summer. The colors are vibrant, it's super comfy and he loves wearing it. He normally throws fits in life jackets and he loves this one. It's so cute!

It Floats!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great child size life jacket! Floats and love the bright colors. This brand/sizing does seem to run smaller than other life jackets I have with the same weight size…. Which is great for the younger kids aged 2-5 (my picture model is almost 5 and it's a perfect fit) but I don't think it would fit any older than that. Definitely a great choice for the younger kids.
