Bought these paddling animals as part of an Easter gift to send to children a little over 1 %26 a little over 2 years old to share. Their mom said that the 2 year old was immediately happy %26 excited. Loved them. The one year old was frightened when one paddled toward him, but when mom turned it around, he immediately started smacking at it and ended having a good time with it. I felt safe sending these paddlers to such young children because I know this family well %26 recognize the advanced mental age of the 2 year old from having spent a good bit of time around her. I also know how closely both children are monitored by their parents %26 how diligently the parents work with them to keep them safe while providing growing experiences just as soon as the children are ready for them. I recommend parents know their child's mental abilities versus their chronological age in choosing this item %26 very closely monitor younger children. Besides it is only good sense to monitor young children very closely in a bath tub %26 when playing in any water. Personally, I feel like most young kids would enjoy these paddling animals.
