If your legs are not as STRONG as they once were then lifting out of the chair with your arms by using the STURDY CHAIR arms makes lifting EASY. I did add some felt to allow easy glide on my floors. BUY IT! BUY TWO!! The seat is a bit high and perfect for my Brother %26 I. Check the dimensions to confirm your PERFECT CHAIR height.
