Might even work a little too well. I freeze a little of whatever I'm drinking in the bottom of my bottles to take to work, or on trips, to make sure they definitely stay cold all day. On really hot days the ice will START to break down in about 6 hours, but sometimes even after 10 hours the ice is fully intact. I haven't used it for hot liquids yet.
