It works, assembly was fine, tines need protection

It was a bit of assembly, but pretty straightforward. I would recommend putting duct tape on the tips of the tines before starting so you don't have cut up hands and arms like I had. It would be nice if they came from the factory with some kind of rubber dip on the tips. The aerator works. I only used it once, and I'll be interested in seeing if the dried plugs that stayed in the tines come out without pressure washing.

Must have Plug aerator for compacted clay soil.

After previously owning the 48" plug Agri Fab aerator, a move to the gulf coast facilitated the need for lawn aeration. After paying a small fortune to have my yard aerated. I decided to buy my own plug aerator. Now I can cheaply and frequently aerate my own lawn which consist mainly of compacted clay. Since my purchase, my yard of consisting of St Augustine grass has greatly improved.

Works Great

Used the aerator after a couple of days of light rain so the ground was damp and it performed very well. I just put the bag of grass seed and fertilizer that I planned to use afterwards on it for weight and the plugs sank all the way down. Would recommend for the price. Assembly can be tricky but not too terrible. Some illustrations can be confusing. I did not use the youtube instructions.
