it was a full Burst of vapor that came out and I loved that! within the first day of using it I felt better! the only thing was there were two plastic inserts into the top and sometimes they come off all you have to do is if you don't see the steam coming out is turn it off open it up and reattach it other than that I had no complaints and I was pleased
