1777. Kentucky frontier. The fort is surrounded.
Inside Logan's Fort, there is barely enough powder, food, or water to survive-and something in the darkness is beginning to move.
Outside the walls, an enemy waits in the forest, silent beneath the trees.
Every rifle matters. Every mouth matters. Every decision could get someone killed.
When the siege tightens, the settlers begin turning everything they have into weapons-even the pewter plates from their tables. Soon, the fort's last comforts are gone, and the walls seem to hold back more than human attackers.
But the greatest danger may not be the people outside the walls.
It may be the thing fear awakens inside them.
As food disappears and ammunition runs low, Benjamin Logan must decide how much a human being can sacrifice to protect a home-and who gets to decide whose life is worth saving. At night, footsteps cross empty rooms. Voices whisper where no one stands. And the dead do not always remain where they are buried.
Enslaved people are forced to fight for the very settlement that denies them freedom. Families argue over whether to stay or flee. Children begin turning the siege into a game-one that grows more disturbing each time they play. And across the wall, the people attacking the fort face their own choices about vengeance, survival, and mercy.
Because both sides believe they are defending home.
And both sides are willing to kill for it.
But something else is watching the fort's hunger deepen.
Inspired by the historical siege of Logan's Fort in Kentucky, ATTACK ON FORT LOGAN is a brutal, atmospheric historical horror novel about survival, ownership, fear, and the terrible things ordinary people can become when there is nowhere left to run.
The wall may keep the enemy out.
It may also keep something worse inside
