Issued by the United States Mint for America’s Semiquincentennial, this remarkable high-relief gold coin pays tribute to the legendary 1804 Draped Bust Silver Dollar, widely regarded as the “King of American Coins.” Struck from 1 troy oz of .9999 pure gold, this premium modern interpretation has been certified by PCGS as a perfect Specimen 70 and carries the desirable First Strike designation.
Obverse: Features Liberty facing right, with flowing hair tied by a ribbon and draped fabric across her bust. Surrounding Liberty are thirteen stars representing the original American colonies and a special Liberty Bell “250” privy mark.
Reverse: Displays the heraldic eagle, a powerful symbol of the young nation. The eagle carries a shield on its chest and holds arrows and an olive branch in its talons, representing both strength and peace.
