2 T B Large Capacity Black External SSD USB 3.0 Hard Drive Typec-Computer/Laptop

These are a good deal. They are slow compared to more recent USB standards but they do work and are fine as backup devices as well. They do work great for migration purposes or simply copy from one machine to another!

I HAD TO WAIT 2 WEEKS BEFORE I GOT THE ITEM, WHICH WAS LONGER THAN WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE TAKEN. THEN ONCE I GOT IT I HOOKED IT UP AND THE WIRELESS COMPONENTS THAT CAME WITH IT WHICH I DIDN'T KNOW WERE SUPPOSE TO BE WITH IT, WELL THEY DIDN'T WORK AT ALL. SO I HOOKED UP THE USB CORD AND IT SEEMED TO WORK SO I TRANSFERED SOME FILES OVER TO IT AND A DAY LATER I CLICKED ON THE UNIT TO ACCESS ONE OF THE FILES I HAD TRANSFERED OVER TO IT AND WHEN I CLICKED ON THE FILE I GOT A MESSAGE THAT THE FILE WAS CORRUPTED AND COULDN'T BE ACCESSED BUT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH ANY OF THE FILES BEFORE I TRANSFERED THEM BECAUSE I OPENED EACH ONE OF THEM. BUT NOW 90 TO 95% OF THOSE FILES ARE UNACCESSABLE BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN CORRUPTED BY THIS DRIVE. SO I TRANSFERED THE FEW THAT WERE STILL WORKING BACK TO MY COMPUTER AND I REFORMATTED THE THE DRIVE AND SWAPED IT FROM THE exFat format to the default format. Since doing that it seems to be working okay but I haven't put any files on it that I don't want to lose, that is for sure. Bottom line, if you buy one of these drives beware, I would suggest making sure it is setup in the default format not the exFat and if I were you I would reformat the drive before using it. I didn't reformat this one before use because I have never had to reformat any new drive because there was no need, i have bought many over the years and this is the first supposedly new drive I have ever had to do anything to.
