only for decoration

even though most of it is plastic, the bell is some sort of metal. the colors of the bell are tape that i doubt will last a long time unless it's in a shielded place or removed frequently to be cleaned and checked periodically. when you ring it it doesn't sound loud, rather weak. but it's mostly for decoration

We got this for my Stepdad's Father's Day. Pictures show a man holding this on a porch or it mounted to a post. Looks very nice, however what we received is so small it's not really big enough to mount outside. He can hold it in the palm of his hand. Product is VERY SMALL!
