I am usually a medium, but I bought these in wide to accommodate thicker socks. I plan on wearing them for a vacation which requires a lot of walking. I broke them in walking around the house and there was no pain. I think they function as a pair of black shoes, peeping out from under my longer pants with the benefit of the sneaker for walking on cobblestones abroad.

I got these as a gift for my wife who has been battling plantar fasciitis for a while now. She loved the look of the shoe and how it looks like a regular sneaker but is actually a slip on. Not long after I gave them to her, we went on a trip with more than average walking. She said the shoes made a really big difference!
