I was happy to get these containers for my vegetables. Although they are a bit smaller than they looked I am satisfied with them. It will probably hold 2-3 pounds of potatoes I estimate in the largest one. A few onions in the middle sized one and the smaller one would be good for garlic cloves. Ill likely use it for something else because we do not use whole garlic. Love the Farmhouse Look of them.

To be clear, the metal is a lot thicker than I thought. I thought these would be a thin, easy to dent metal. They are not. They're very sturdy and in perfect condition, the metal being durable and thicker than what I thought. They're also very attractive. They have the air holes near the base to aid in keeping the food fresh longer. The potato canister is the largest and will fit a lot of potatoes. I would guess, a 5 pound bag of potatoes will fit in the potato canister. The lids fit down on top, no twisting, no difficulty removing, just lift straight up on the lids. The back of them are plain but also have the air holes, in other words, the words and diagrams are on the front only. There is nothing that is a negative. They are perfect for what they are. I'm very pleased with them and now have some nice canisters, especially for my potatoes. You could of course put other items inside them. I tend to eat more sweet potatoes than Irish potatoes and will be handy for both. They'll make for a neater pantry, too. Included is a convenient mesh bag that has a velcro opening at the top. The bag could come in very handy if you want to place your potatoes in the bag before placing in the potato canister.
