I was looking for a raffia platform sandal in black with an ankle strap. Steve Madden offers a sandal that fits this description, however, the price did not match what I was willing to spend. Now, don't get me wrong, the Steve Madden shoe is comfortable and worth the price ( I purchased it in beige), but the problem was, I didn't want to spend a lot of money for the same shoe. So, I Googled "black raffia platform sandal" and these shoes popped up. I noticed there was no ankle strap, but I also noticed the PRICE! I decided to try the shoe sans the ankle strap. It turned out to be a good idea. This shoe is very nice looking, does not look cheaply made, but I am not too sure how they will hold up long term. I do not plan to wear these often and I also don't plan to wear them for long walks. This is so because the shoe can at times feel as though it may slide off my foot, hence the reason why I was initially looking for an ankle strap. These shoes have a bit of weight to them, but do not feel clunky or heavy. Not gonna lie, if those ankle strap Steve Madden's go on sale and are available in my size, I shall scoop them up because I walk a lot and appreciate a comfortable yet stylish shoe that will not fly off while walking. The shoes are a bit stiff, but are not painful, do not rub, and did not cause blisters. When I first put them on, they felt great. In summary great fit great price. Go for it!
