The description lists them as leggings and tights, I would describe them more as tights. These are very thin type of winter type tights that a woman would wear underwear a dress for warmth and not to be seen. I would not consider them to be stand alone leggings because they are so thin, show every lump and bump, show undergarment outlines. They are very soft and comfortable, lined with a soft material, but do not look warm. Although they were very very thin, because of the army green color i had chosen, you could not see through them. The size fit as a medium as i expected, for reference I am 5'4", 125-130lb, smaller bottom and thick around the middle. They were high waisted to my navel without any wait control support. I was ok with all of that, but will plan to wear them with more layers for true warmth this winter.

It says thermal so i expected it to be thick. its thinner than i expected. but still keeping them to double up and wear under pants or with a skirt or under a dress.
