Faux leather is very soft %26 seat is well cushioned. I purchased the dark gray. They are not light or almost black. I would call them a medium gray. The were packaged perfectly %26 had everything you needed to assemble. There were extra parts %26 everything was clearly labeled. Don't hesitate on these. I am sure the price will be going up. I got 4 comfy chairs for less than the price of one at our local discount furniture stores.

My daughter put these together, she said it went real well, the directions and pieces work and came together easily. They are really nice. The color is true. Very sturdy, they should last a good long time. We are very happy with them. They are definitely worth what we paid but they were not expensive at all, they were affordable
