I mean I wouldn't not recommend it, it's fine, but it's a little wobbly. I wish I had gotten the wood one, but I do have it on carpet and not hard floor. And it does say it's for a kitchen so it makes more sense for it to be metal for a kitchen. I'm using it upstairs for a linen closet. I just thought the metal would be more durable than pressed wood. So it's good if you're using it on hard floor for cleaning up spills as a pantry but probably something more solid if you're looking for a linen closet
